I'm Duccio, a level designer from Italy (currently in the Netherlands) on his 3rd year at Breda University of Applied Sciences.
I've been making games for 3 years, developing a player-facing process focused on crafting experiences by shaping game spaces players will inhabit and facilitating their interaction with the content and features I'm bringing to life.
During my time at BUAS I developed a strong ability to communicate with other disciplines (art and programming) to bring a game's vision into a build.
About me
Why games and level design?
Passionate about games for my whole life, I got closer to them after discovering interaction design.
Looking at games through that lens made me see how interacting with their systems can shape memorable experiences, and convinced me to get into the field.
Level Design caught my interest as the point of contact between all the parts of a game.
By crafting game spaces and content, I aim to help a team's effort come together by creating a coherent and cohesive whole.

Outside of games, the other main passion of my life is drawing, a skill I employ in game development to concept, sketch level layouts and communicate my ideas.
I'm a huge comic book and manga reader (I always have a copy of Watchmen, and grew up admiring Tsutomu Nihei's art), and I love sci-fi writers such as Isaac Asimov or Cixin Liu.
I also enjoy bouldering due to its playfulness and how it pushes me beyond what I thought I could do!
